Ginkgo biloba ' Goldspire'
Yellow
Unique Features: Ginkgo biloba grow at a moderate rate when young (the first 25 years or so) and then slow with age. This is a compact columnar variety of Ginkgo with the characteristics of its family including no significant disease or insect problems, soil adaptably, pollution tolerance, uniquely shaped leaves and excellent long lasting fall color. After several weeks of fall color the leaves drop rapidly, almost all at once, covering the ground. This is a male selection, as are most all ginkgoes sold in nurseries due to the highly malodorous fruit.
