Additional Information:

Unique Features: The Radiant Crabapple grows moderately into a large rounded or spreading form. The serrated leaves emerge a reddish purple and mature to dark green.  In spring, red buds open to large (up to 1 ¾” across) single radiant reddish pink flowers. The ½” diameter bright red crabapples persist on the tree into winter. The Radiant Crabapple has excellent resistance to Fire Blight. This tree has long been promoted by CSU and there are some great specimens around the Denver Tech Center and Fort Lupton areas. The extra cold hardiness makes it suitable for planting sites above 7000’. All crabapples are on the Town of Parker Preferred species list.
