Additional Information:
Unique Features: The Raspberry Spear Crabapple grows moderately into an upright, tight columnar shape. The leaves emerge with a purple color, which holds into summer when there is more of a bronze shade. In spring, deep pink buds open to single magenta pink flowers. The ½” fruit starts out maroon and matures to a bright red as it persists on the tree through late fall and into winter. The Raspberry Spear Crabapple has excellent disease resistance. Consider plantings multiples of the small crabapples with different shapes and flower/foliage colors. All crabapples are on the Town of Parker preferred species list.
