Unique Features: The Sparkling Spring is a dwarf crabapple grafted onto a 4’ standard trunk. They are often pruned into a hemispherical shape; left unpruned the tree develops a broadly pyramidal form. The bright green foliage turns yellow in the fall. The clusters of white spring flowers open from rose colored buds and some of this color is retained on the petals’ reverse, giving a pink tone to the floral display. The abundant ¼” fruit starts out golden yellow and ages to orange as it persists on the tree into winter. The Sparkling Sprite has excellent disease resistance to all the major crabapple diseases and, as with all crabapples, is Approved by the Town of Parker.
