Unique Features: The Accolade Elm is a hybrid elm that has excellent resistance to Dutch elm disease, elm leaf miner and elm leaf beetle. The latter two are less of a threat, but do account for a lot of cosmetic damage. The Accolade will benefit from regular pruning and monitoring for other pathogens or pests. This elm grows vigorously into a vase-shaped form and are adaptable to most soils. The heavily ribbed, dark green leaves can be up to 4 inches long. The Accolade Elm is on the Parker Preferred Species list and is suitable as a lawn, shade or street planting.
