Unique Features: The Patriot Elm grows rapidly into the vase shaped form typical of the American elm, but stays a little smaller. It is a complex hybrid elm that has excellent resistant to Dutch Elm Disease, Elm Leaf Beetle and Phloem Necrosis.  As with all rapidly growing trees it will benefit from regular pruning (3 to 6 years) in order to prevent future problems. The Patriot Elm is on the Parker Preferred Species List and is suitable for lawn or street planting.
