Ginkgo biloba ‘Mariken’
Yellow
Unique Features: Gingko bilobas can be considered a ‘living fossil’ dating back about 200 million years. During this time they have outlived most pests or diseases that may have affected them in their distant past. The fan shaped leaves are a dull medium green during the growing season, but have long lasting fall color ranging from butter to golden yellow. The Mariken is a slower growing dwarf bushy form of ginkgo. It is suitable for container growing and hardy enough to leave outside over the winter. The Mariken has all the desirable characteristics of the larger ginkgoes, in a size that could work on your patio.
