Additional Information:
Unique Features: Paul’s Scarlet is a cultivar of English hawthorn that grows moderately, into a rounded form. This hawthorn has the typical zig zag branches, as well as sparse 1’’ thorns. The leaves are a glossy dark green and have 3 to 5 lobes. The fragrant flowers bloom in clusters in later spring, and each rose red flower is fully double. The fruit that follows is a deep scarlet, and persists well into winter. In our drier air the Paul’s Scarlet has less problems with leaf blight.
