Unique Features: This is a thornless selected variety of a native American hawthorn. It grows moderately into a rounded form and can be pruned into a durable hedge. Clusters of single white flowers bloom in later spring, and develop into ½’’ red berries that can persist into winter (if not eaten by birds). The flowers can have a pungent aroma that some people may find objectionable, but only lasts for a couple of weeks during the bloom season. This Hawthorn is tolerant of alkaline clay soil, as well as wet or dry sites. This tree is approved by the Town of Parker.
