Linden cordata ‘Corzam’

Unique Features: This is a cultivar of the European linden, or little leaf linden, selected for its narrow profile. Lindens are native around the world in temperate climates. Lindens grow at a moderate rate into their differing forms, and are adaptable to our clay soils. In early summer they all have very fragrant clusters of tiny pale yellow flowers that dangle from a yellow-green modified leaf bract, the bract is more visible than the flowers. The flowers are followed by tiny nutlets. The bees will have no trouble finding the flowers; Linden flowers are one of their favorites. The Japanese beetle is also particularly fond of lindens, which is a growing problem in some areas. Visit the CSU Extension website and search ‘Japanese beetle – 5.601’ for more information on the Japanese beetle.
