Because the Reliance peach tree has some extra cold tolerance it can be planted on a northern exposure. This will slow down the bloom time and help ensure fruit set. The Reliance peach tree originated in New Hampshire in 1964. It produces medium sized freestone peaches that have a dull red blush over yellow skin. The yellow flesh of the fruit is soft, sweet and very juicy. It is great for fresh eating and it also bakes, cans and freezes very well.
