Additional Information:
Unique Features: The Crimson Pointe plum is a very narrow cultivar of the purple leaved plums, and grows moderately into a very narrow columnar form, broadening a little with age. It is grown both as a single trunk tree and a multi stem or trunk form; the ‘multi’ forms present as more of a narrow vase shape. The early spring white flowers have dark red-purple anthers, so the flowers show pink from a distance which contrasts nicely with the dark purple leaves. Our late spring frosts can preclude most fruit production, but the Crimson Pointe can produce 1” edible fruit.
