Mother’s Day Celebration Weekend Event 2021

Saturday May 8th, 8-5  –  Sunday May 9th, 9-4

Join us at Pine Lane Nursery for this immensely popular annual event.  All weekend long we celebrate the Moms that do for much for us.  We are gifting every Mom who comes in a free 4-pack of annual flowers with any purchase.  In addition, we will have a Planting station set up for moms and kids to plant their flowers.  Either bring in your favorite planter or choose one from our large selection.  Of course the kids are welcome to just play in the dirt as well!

This is the very best time of year at the nursery  Everything is blooming and budding and ready to move from our house to yours.  Use this weekend to start your outdoor area beautification projects.  Don’t miss the opportunity to take home one or two of our Nearly Famous Hanging Baskets too!

What’s the difference between an Annual and a Perennial?

Annuals – Plants that perform their entire life cycle from seed to flower to seed within a single growing season. All roots, stems and leaves of the plant die annually. Only the dormant seed bridges the gap between one generation and the next.

Perennials – Plants that persist for many growing seasons. Generally the top portion of the plant dies back each winter and regrows the following spring from the same root system (e.g. Purple Coneflower).  NOTE: WHEN STARTING PERENNIAL PLANTS FROM SEED, BLOOMS WILL BE OBSERVED IN EITHER THE SPRING OR SUMMER OF THE SECOND YEAR AND EACH YEAR THEREAFTER (e.g. Ox-Eyed Daisy planted in the spring of a given year will not bloom until the spring of the following. year).

Annual:  Petunias in bloom

Perennial: Coneflower, Black Eyed Susan
